Secrets of a Housewife

Do you ever see images like this and think, Seriously? Did women back then really freakin smile and whistle while they mop puke or pee off the floor? Assuming that is that your child is learning how to potty train. Otherwise, your husband may really need some help with his issues.

Me, personally, I do not smile while I'm folding laundry, unless that is, I'm watching Ellen. I do not daydream while I'm bleaching the baseboards of the house. I would prefer to sprinkle some cocoa on them and go point it out to my dog. A little dust won't hurt him right? I mean, he does lick his own...foot.

So, what are a few tips and tricks of being the most amazing housewife, ever? Well, let me share a few secrets with you.

-We all get so tired of cleaning the house. It becomes a little monotonous. Or exhausting, especially right after you have a baby. There are those days when you have to decide whether or not you are going to take a shower, or do a little cleaning. Please. Take a shower. Just secretly hire a (cheap) maid. Your husband will come home and over and over say how the house has never looked so nice. You reassure him and tell him that you are indeed Wonder Woman.

-Write out a menu list for the entire week. This saves some of what sanity you have left, along with money. Plus, you won't be staring at your fridge every day wondering what in the world you are going to whip up.

You may even get lucky, and your child will help you write and decorate on the board. Have fun trying to read it.

-When a light-bulb needs changing, don’t bother with a ladder, instead, balance precariously on a swivel office chair, for a much more exciting experience.

-Don't feel like getting dressed one day? Try and refrain from wearing pajamas to the grocery store. You really look like you may be panhandling, and it's just not a cute look. Instead, go for gym clothes. Much more appropriate. Just the other day I was running errands and someone asked if I had a good workout. HUH?? Ahh, yes. I did. Awesome workout.

-When getting ready to go out on date night, avoid wearing your clothes until the last minute if at all possible. Your child will be eating spaghetti that night and manage to ruin your new dress. Cover up and put a rain coat or robe on.

-So the leaves need to be raked in the backyard and your family has a million things on the to-do list. AKA-you're not doing it because outside is not part of the deal. Again, you call someone only to have to laugh at you because all you need is the leaves raked. Needless to say, again, it's cheap. Just be sure to remove all evidence from the curb before husband gets home. That was a dead giveaway.

-Use wipes for everything. The cleaning geniuses were nice enough to make products to clean faster. Windex is in wipes. Pledge is in wipes. Clorox is in wipes. Wipe away the grime, my friends. It's so much quicker! Plus, you can get your children to help.

Hope some of these useful, and not so useful tips were helpful. Now, go out and conquer the day!

My Little School Boy

Davis started school this past week here in Tulsa, and I have to say, I LOVE IT! But first of all, look how stinkin cute that shirt is?! Oh my goodness, I would probably buy more if they had different colors. He would be baby ready for the office every day. KIDDING! He knew we were getting ready for his second day of school, and was overly excited. Whew! He loves it there, too. Makes it a little easy on Mama! That smile of his gets me every time. Beyond precious. But I'm his mom, so of course I'm going to think that.

Yesterday was their Halloween party at school and look what they made! Davis' teacher has got to be related to Super Woman, because I have no idea how she was able to do all of the kid's hands and feet. Let alone make them look so cute! Wow! Impressive, much? It was even filled with a new Halloween coloring book and all kinds of goodies. This school of his is winning me over more and more each day. Okay, so it's only been two days, but who's keeping track.

I'm really looking forward to using this for our first trick or treating this year (he was sooooo sick last year!!) and eating all of Davis' candy. I mean, seeing what all stuff he gets! He is going to be the most precious little sock monkey, ever. He can thank me later. There will be many pictures.

Do you have any traditions?

Have a wonderful day!

Talk To Me Tuesday-Random Like

-Finally good news! We have a contract pending on our house. Now if only these people don't change their minds, we are good to close in November. Woosa!

-Davis is getting better at beating me in public. We had a come to Jesus talk. Is their a hotline for this?

-Last week was my anniversary. I love my hubby so, so much. I did think he forgot about it, but who's to know. He's a man and reminded me to book a sitter the day before. Go figure.

-I think with the weather getting fridgid in Oklahoma, that is an excellent reason to start house hunting. Otherwise, I don't know who is going to walk the dog. Throwing him in the back yard is much easier. Well...not throw. He's 80 pounds.

-There are no pictures today because I'm lazy.

-I am still surprising loving Tulsa. Be sure to check your pulse.

-I'm jumpstarting Beautifully Bronzed with a Groupon. I'm bracing myself. And also checking into Mother's Day Out for Davis pronto. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

-Have you liked me on Facebook yet? Go. What are you waiting for?!?

-I'm going to be having a giveaway soon. It may have something to do with A.C. Slater. Just sayin. Could be interesting so you're going to want to check it out. And get your scrunchy ready.

-I have taught Michael to use my spray tan machine. He says a little of his manhood has been taken away from him. But who else is going to spray me? I think Davis doing it would be a little odd.

-Speaking of teaching. When I got my new machine I practiced on Michael. He's hispanic. That was awesome.

-That's all for now, folks!! Have a great day!

New Entertainment

On our latest trio back to Tulsa from Dallas, Davis decided to pull things out from anywhere he could. I swear to you, half the stuff he was grabbing, I have no idea how those tiny little arms were reaching! It was pitch black outside already and he was being so quiet. Maybe even a little too quiet. And even though it was past his bedtime, you know this child isn't going to sleep! That would be too easy. I hear a crinkling of plastic. And the sound of a bunch of stuff being pulled out of a box. What in the.....oh, of course this is what you want to play with!!
Knock yourself out, kid! Only a two year old would find entertainment in playing with a box of tampons. And I have to say, it was quite entertaining for us!! I am STILL finding tampons in places all over my car!

BIG News!!

I have been rather MIA again this past week. But I have a pretty good excuse. I have launched my mobile airbrush tanning business and can't be more excited about it! If you live in the Tulsa area, or know someone that does, please help me pass on the word. Since we have been here for about a month, I'm hoping to get the word spreading fast. Before when I was doing this, I never thought to get my own website, etc. Now, I figured, why not! I absolutley love it!

Be sure to check out my facebook fan page for specials and deals. My website can be found here.

Grab some girls and have a fun tanning party! When you host, you tan for free. How can you pass that up? So, help me spread the word about Beautifully Bronzed!

I know, you can tell I'm just a little excited! Insert HUGE smile!
