What's The Story, Morning Glory?

As of lately, I haven't been blogging as much as I would like, but not to fear. I'm still here! Here's a random, not in any order, like you care, update for ya :)

-Davis finished Soccer Tots 2 weeks ago, and I think he's ready to go pro. Watch out David...Davis is on board! He absolutely LOVED it. He did have a little problem when he was supposed to TAP the ball, and he would want to kick it full force. What can I say? He was in all the way.

-Michael is still absolutely obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with CrossFit. He is now in the process of building a CrossFit gym in the garage. This should be interesting. He constantly has huge blisters (like don't touch me with those things) on his hands, that now he drives like an eccentric old woman. Awesome.

-My work is going great. I absolutely love it and beyond enjoy what I'm doing. I'm hoping that things stay the way they are going, and just pray that it stays consistant. I've been doing 'Happy Hours' every few weeks at my home with other vendors to try and cross market and meet new people. I've been offering $15 off tans and free add ons when people bring a friend. I have to say, the cocktail I made last week was fabulous. Although, I didn't get to drink any since I was working. What?! Can you believe that? If you're in the Houston area, you should check it out!

-Houston is still going great. Better than great. Besides it being hotter than the devil's asshole here, I LOVE it. I have met some of the best people here that I just adore. I have a nice little circle of friends, girls for networking, and have made some really close friends already. I'm still loving living in the city, (even though I'm still shocked about it) and have to say adios to the suburbs for life. No bueno. There is so much to do here, especially in our area. Whether it's with Davis or places for just Michael and I to go. We have truly loved every moment here. Plus, who doesn't like riding their bike down the street for a glass of wine?! And dinner? And around the area?! I'm raising both hands, because I love it! :)

My Casa...finally

We've been all settled in our home for about a month now, and I couldn't be more excited with it. Its my dream home x 100. Love, love, love and a little drool over it. I think I'm even more proud of it because I got to pick everything that went in here. I just crossed my fingers and hoped Michael liked everything I chose. And then figured, well, too late! He'll have to learn to love it :)
Here's a few pictures of downstairs. And yes, the house was built to look old. Another reason why I drool over it.
Also, that's a small wine bar. The house had my calling card. :)

Happy Sunday, everyone. Have a great day!

Getting Closert...To Moving Time...Again :)

I went by the house last week, to see how the progress was going, and I have to say I was SO EXCITED! I pretty much did a giddy, crazy, happy dance, in the middle of the kitchen. No, I didn't care there was a bunch of men working in there. I just looked like a crazy chick that walked into a house and started dancing, to them.

When I got there, they were installing the front door. I had to take a picture, because this is Michael's dream door. Yes, his! :) Where the cardboard is, will be a giant panel of glass, to let as much light in as possible. Ahhhhh....love it!
And here it is! Can't get much more southern style home than that. Once the shutters get put up, it will look amazing! Through the garage right there, goes straight out to the backyard. The garage also goes the length of the house, which was a selling point for Michael. I can only imagine what is going in there!
Entry way lights (I'm pretty excited about the lights because I had to pick them out when Michael wasn't in town, and crossed my fingers he would like them! Thank goodness we have the same taste!) That doorway is a powder bath.
This light fixture is still wrapped, but I still had to add it. I picked this light and pretty much said I don't care what else is put in the house. As long as I have it. It's amazing when you see it. I know, the plastic looks good (haha) but unwrapped is drool worthy!

And Oooooooooooh my kitchen! This is where I did my awesome happy dance! And no, I didn't care if a random man was in my picture. I just told him he was amazing and kept going. The cabinets at the very top will have glass, which is perfect. Because how can I show off my 1920's cookbooks without glass cabinets? They knew I was coming. I picked all the lights to go with the period of my house, which is my favorite, so I have to say....THIS IS MY DREAM HOME!!
Note to Michael: If you move again, I am staying here. That is all.

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

We Went. We Conquered!

We found a house!! I am beyond excited and can't tell you how much this is my absolutel dream house! We are in just in time to be able to pick out our colors of cabinets, flooring, etc. Did I mention I am so excited?? Here are a few pictures of what it will look like when it's done. **These are mostly pictures of the house across the street, so this will be similar.**
Um....this house comes with a WINE BAR! Hello!! I actually didn't mean for this picture to post first and was hoping for the outside, but now I find this fitting.
The heavens opened, and the angels sang! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! The closet has built in dressers and cabinets with shoe shelves! Can I get an AMEN!?
Similar to what our mast bath will look like. So pretty :)
The backyard has a balcony and covered patio.....including an outdoor bathroom. Perfect for entertaining. Or if you opened the hatch, then here you go.
Oh my love! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Did I say, LOVE!!????!!!
I'm sorry, I am totally so excited!! So stop by anytime for a glass with me :)

**Don't forget 'Make My Monday' next week. The question will be what is your favorite recipe to make for entertaining?** Can't wait to see what ya got :)

I Love The Holidays!!

We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving this year with my best friends, mom, and her new boyfriend. It seems so weird to think that just one year ago, Davis was in his little swing, sitting next to the table while we ate. This year he got to enjoy his first Thanksgiving meal with us. It was so funny to see him indulge in all of the goodness that we made. And of course he devoured everything! I think that boy ate more than I did! Of course, I have no pictures to show you, so you will just have to take my word that we had a blast. I took a ton, I mean a ton, of pictures but of course my camera is at home. (We are still in the hotel) I may be late getting them up, but I'm sure that I will post them at some point. Obviously there was a lot of stuffing our faces, good talk, playing games, and crying. Fine. I was doing the crying! That's what I get for giving too much thanks at Thanksgiving and thinking my world was coming to an end since I will be leaving my friend. I'm special as I will only be an hour and a half away. You would think I was moving to Egypt or something!

Yesterday, we had a wonderful family day filled with holiday fun. In McKinney, where we are moving, they have Christmas festivities called 'A Dickens of a Christmas.' People dress up, sing carols, eat...more! There are great shops and wonderful places to eat. We had such a fun time yesterday. It is so great now that Davis is getting bigger, we can do so much more fun things with him.
I took this pictures getting ready to head out the door! He's all dressed and ready to go! Family photo opp!
Look how HUGE his feet look in the picture! Davis looks a little confused. Probably wondering who in the world that lady is calling his name, while trying to take his picture!

There was also a carousel, and I have to say I was so excited to ride it with Davis for the first time. I had a massive mom moment while going around and thought I was going to tear up. But holding Davis on that horse while it went up and down was giving me such an arm work out, I let my mom moment pass!

Since we were in the area, I had to do a drive by at our new house and was beyond excited to see that the 'SOLD' sign was in the front yard. Did I take a picture? You bet I did!!

It's not quite finished yet, but we may actually be closing on the 22nd! What a way to start a new year fresh! I couldn't be more excited. And I would love to get out of this hotel room....we aren't cramped or anything :)
Hope your turkey day was amazing!!
