Bring on the FALL
I don't think I've ever been so ready for fall, as I am this year. I am over the 111+ days and am so looking forward to cooler weather. Being in Texas, I'm sure we will get a few...in December. Until then, I will just daydream. Crackling fires, warm hot chocolate, being all bundled up and going to a pumpkin patch, and of course carving them! Just don't forget the marshmallows on the hot chocolate!!
I am really looking forward to taking Davis to the pumpkin patch this year. He is so interested in everything right now, and can't wait to see his face when we get there. Although he will think all of the hundreds of balls for him to play with, I know he will love it. I may have to dress him up again when we go...in a Halloween costume, of course!
Since I don't live in Colorado and am stuck in the desert that is Texas, all I can do is put up fall decor and pretend I'm in a blizzard. So that is exactly what I did yesterday and it oddly put me in the best mood. I almost wanted to put on Christmas music to go along with my, 'I want to be in the cold,' mood, but I thought I would wait till at least after Thanksgiving.
Cute and simple.
What else is in the fall?? Halloween, of course. What better time than to try on a costume to see if it fit. On Davis, that is, not myself. My mom recently bought him a sock monkey costume, so this was the perfect time to see how my monkey looked in his monkey suit.
What a trooper, he is. He wasn't too happy with me, but I have to get him ready for our big trick or treating night. It only seemed right. Besides, these are the pictures he will just absolutely love when he's older. I just know it!

Davis Is 2!
Yes, I have been very M.I.A. lately, and have so many posts that will be popping up all at once. But more importantly, my monkey man is 2!! (As of August 18) I know I say this all of the time, but seriously, where does the time go? It used to seem like my life would just slowly pass, but with a child in the picture, I'm on a constant jet, heading to wherever life takes us.
He is learning so much lately that it just amazes me. Of course I was pretty proud of myself when I taught him to ROAR like a dinosaur in about an hour. It's the important things in life!! He is waking up saying new words everyday, along with a counting 1, 2, and 3. But my absolute favorite is that he has become awfully cuddly and I am soaking it in. I honestly can not get enough of it. Davis is letting me rock him for a few minutes before he goes down to sleep, which for him is huge. Oh my sweet boy!
This year, we were unable to do a birthday party for Davis, which makes me extremely sad! I am told repeatedly that it is okay seeing as how he is only 2 and won't remember it anyway. (I will! Hello!) But we were with family at Lake Erie this year, so I guess that counts for something! We still sang him 'Happy Birthday' and had cake and pizza. He devoured the pizza and threw away the cake. That's my boy! (I always had a giant cookie cake as I've never been a big cake fan...until I met Michael. Thanks for that!)

I Love Spaghetti, Mama!
Everyone that has read my blog before, knows my son is a huge eater! The child can't get enough food....ever! Noodles is one of his favorites. He slurps those suckers up like a champ who has been doing it for years. When we were eating pasta the other night, I had to memorex the moment as he was eating like a little piglet.
Look, ma! No hands!
Heck with the fork! I got this!
