Bring on the FALL

I don't think I've ever been so ready for fall, as I am this year. I am over the 111+ days and am so looking forward to cooler weather. Being in Texas, I'm sure we will get a few...in December. Until then, I will just daydream. Crackling fires, warm hot chocolate, being all bundled up and going to a pumpkin patch, and of course carving them! Just don't forget the marshmallows on the hot chocolate!!

I am really looking forward to taking Davis to the pumpkin patch this year. He is so interested in everything right now, and can't wait to see his face when we get there. Although he will think all of the hundreds of balls for him to play with, I know he will love it. I may have to dress him up again when we go...in a Halloween costume, of course!

Since I don't live in Colorado and am stuck in the desert that is Texas, all I can do is put up fall decor and pretend I'm in a blizzard. So that is exactly what I did yesterday and it oddly put me in the best mood. I almost wanted to put on Christmas music to go along with my, 'I want to be in the cold,' mood, but I thought I would wait till at least after Thanksgiving.

Cute and simple.

What else is in the fall?? Halloween, of course. What better time than to try on a costume to see if it fit. On Davis, that is, not myself. My mom recently bought him a sock monkey costume, so this was the perfect time to see how my monkey looked in his monkey suit.

What a trooper, he is. He wasn't too happy with me, but I have to get him ready for our big trick or treating night. It only seemed right. Besides, these are the pictures he will just absolutely love when he's older. I just know it!

Halloween is my most favorite holiday ever!! That sock monkey costume is super cute...he looks like he could be bribed (with much candy) to enjoy wearing it for a night!
